Office Administrator/Accounts Payable Clerk

Location – Penticton, British Columbia, Canada

Salary – Up to $50,000 - $60,000 per annum - depending on experience

Experience Requirements – 3 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Education – Some post-secondary education – certificate/diploma related to business or office administration preferred

You easily manage competing priorities, and always maintain a high level of professionalism with your coworkers, suppliers and customers. Ideally, you have 3 years of related experience, as well as post-secondary education related to business or office administration.

Responsibilities

Reception

You will be responsible for various reception duties:

  • Handle incoming telephone calls and walk-ins
  • Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Process various cheque deposits
  • Maintain office and kitchen supplies
  • Process maintenance work orders (data entry)

Accounts Payable

You will be responsible for various accounts payable duties:

  • Print and organize incoming invoices via email and mail
  • Match invoices to packing slips
  • Process invoices in our ERP system
  • Select and process payment of open invoices
  • Mail cheques and file backup paperwork
  • Follow up on any outstanding invoices that are past due

Team Player

You’ll work closely with production and administrative personnel in a highly professional manner

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • You have some related post-secondary education – certificate/diploma related to business or office administration preferred
  • Your administrative skills are top notch, and include data analysis, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Excel and Outlook
  • You’re known for your excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • You have strong math and problem-solving capabilities
  • You’re a collaborative relationship builder, who is self-motivated, process driven and proactive
  • You have a strong work ethic, coupled with an ability to prioritize and problem solve
